Ministries

At TOC we believe that everyone needs to grow in God’s Word. We offer classes for all ages and all levels of spiritual maturity. We would love for you to join us this Sunday morning at 9:30am.

2 year old – Pre K

At this age children’s minds are like a sponge. Miss Verna does a wonderful job of making sure that they soak up the good things of God. This class is held in the lower level of our main church building.

Kindergarten - 3^rd grade

This class helps these little ones begin to build a foundation on the Solid Rock of Jesus Christ. Miss Tamara teaches the Biblical truths of God’s Word. This class is held in the lower level of the main church building.

4^th grade- 6^th grade

Reyburn and LaVon Nance continue to build upon the foundation of the Word of God. Using scripture to help strengthen the faith of these preteen boys and girls. This class is held in our Family Life Center.

7^th grade – 12^th grade

The teenage years come with a need for guidance about how to be a shining light to their peers. JR and Carrie Pittman do an excellent job of helping to mold these young men and women into the people that God intends for them to be. This class is held in our Family Life Center.

Young Adult (18-30)

If you have graduated high school, whether you are married or single, this class is for you. You will grow in the word of God together with others that are going through many of the same challenges that you face. You will learn to relate scripture to real life. This class is taught by Landon Chester and is held in the lower level of the main church building. 

Adult

This class is for those that are more mature in their faith. Joey Smith opens up the scriptures and promotes deep discussion into the “meat “of the Word. This class is held in the lower level of the main church building.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH 

We have two classes for Children’s Church. There is a Toddler class and a class for ages, Preschool thru 3^rd grade.

These classes take place after Sunday School during our regular morning Worship time. This allows for the children to learn from the truths of the Bible and allows you as an adult to focus on worship and the message from the Word of God.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Each Wednesday night through the school year we have KIDZ 4 CHRIST and TEENZ 4 CHRIST youth ministries. I would like to introduce you to our awesome group of volunteers that will be working with your children and give you a brief description of what they do.

Club Coordinators

Our Club Coordinators are Shannon and Catrina Chester. They make sure everything runs smoothly and efficently. Our volunteer staff of over 40 leaders makes this ministry possible, but Shannon and Catrina's dedication makes it all come together.

Club registration is taken care of by Catrina and Ashley. They make sure all the Kidz and Teenz are registered and make the teachers and kitchen staff aware of any special needs. 

Door Greeter

Laten Strough is our official door greeter, but is always willing to jump in and do whatever is needed.

Parking Lot Attendants

 This group of guys make sure that we maintain a safe and secure environment.

 For your convenience, we have a drop off and pick up area for children so you don’t even have to get out of the vehicle. Of course, you are always welcome to come in if you would like. They will make sure your child gets safely from your vehicle into the building and back again.

Kitchen Staff

 Each week Lynae and her crew prepare a meal for the youth and the leaders. The Teenz (6^th-12^th grade) begin eating at 5:30 and the Kidz (PreK-5^th grade) begin eating at 5:45. Adults can eat any time between 5:30-6:00.

KIDZ 4 CHRIST LEADERS 

Good News Stand

  Each week Kidz earn points for various things. They can save them up or once a month they can come see Tera Writer at the Good News Stand and purchase items with their points.

Preschool

 If you have little ones this is the class for them. These ladies teach the events from the Bible in a fun atmosphere. Using games, crafts and pictures, to make sure your child understands and remembers the lesson each night.

Kindergarten- 2nd grade

This group helps lay a foundation in the Word of God. Using the Answers Bible Curriculum from Answers in Genesis.

3rd grade – 5th grade

This group of ladies begins to build a Biblical framework upon the foundation that has been laid. Helping the Kidz to grow in their relationship with God.

Kidz Closing

At the End of each night all of the Kidz classes come together for a closing with Joey and Corrie Smith. They sing songs, pray, review the lesson from that night, celebrate birthdays and many other fun things.

TEENZ 4 CHRIST LEADERS

6th grade- 8th grade

In a society that teaches youth to think secularly, John, Krista and Tera challenge these young minds to think from a Biblical viewpoint.

Austin, Lexie, MaKenzie and Tyler make sure these young men and women have a faith that is strong and is based in the strength of God’s Word. Helping them to seek God’s will for their lives as they start to have to make important life decisions for themselves.

Adult Classes

Young Adult (18-30)

 Becky Kelly and Rachelle Wiilliams will help you to continue to grow in the word of God and become sucessful and well grounded adults.

Adult Bible Study (30+)

Bro Dave teaches this class in the sanctuary. He uses the same curriculum as the Teenz and Kidz, but takes it even deeper. This allows those with children to discuss the lesson with them. This strengthens family bonds and reinforces the word of God in their hearts and minds.

Nursery (ages 2 & under)

These ladies give of their time each week to take care of the babies of those who teach and attend class. This allows the parents to focus in their class, knowing their young ones are well taken care of. The nursey is located in our Family Life Center.
